8Gb of memory!!?? Holy cow! I have 4Gb RAM, Win 7 64 Bit and have two Radeon HD5700 cards. Am I way short of spec then? [sad face]

I have a AMD FX8350 eight core, 4GHz, with win8.1 64bit 8GB Ram and a GeForce GTX 560 dx11 1GB DDR5 graphics card. And i must say, the game is still laggy even with the lowest setting. nonetheless it's still fun as hell!! enjoying every bit of it!! :D
Hope the game will run much smoother in the near future. But even with the lag, the cars have very good handling.

    Our recommended spec is currently:

    Memory: 8 MB RAM

LOL This must've been written down by someone who was also working on the first Carmageddon game :)

I was looking for the latest VGA driver.
Since then goes, but it stutters: S
    And modifing Graphic: 1280*700!

    My config: Core 7 Cpu (2.4Ghz) 8GB RAM, and Nvidia GT650M.(too SMALL??? ) O_O

Why is breaking up? with the lag. :SSS
There totally lag in the picture. Already standard and poor quality.

They're going to optimize it to run smoother. It's still alpha so don't worty.

hi. and Nvidia GT650M. (Dell inspiron 7720 notebbok)
This video card will be Sufficient to complete the game to run?
High quality, perhaps? or just bad in that?

pasy01, only a really high end PC setup can run the game in high quality. But even on the lowest (with good resolution) the game looks nice. So for me it doesn't matter.

Verci I have a High End PC but even my PC can't run High quality until the game has been optimised for AMD CPU's and Nvidia GPU's. these are my specs

Mobo - Asus AMD AM3+ Gladiator
    CPU - Asus AMD Phenom2 1055T 3.5GHZ OC Edition Hexicore (6 Core)
    Ram - 16gb XMS3 Corsair Gaming Ram
GPU - Asus Nvidia 770GTX 2GB OC Edition with HD 7.1 Audio (HDMI)
    Soundcard - RealTek 7.1 HD
    HDD Primary - 2TB Seagate Baracuda Black 6gbs sata3
HDD Secondary - 1.5TB Western Digital Caviar Green 6gbs sata3
Monitor - 28inch True HD (1920x1200) Hannspree LCD TV Responce=5ms
Attached via USB Logitech Keyboard and Gigabyte 5button Gaming Mouse.

The game needs to be optimised as my PC is MORE than capable but still lags, the game Requirements only shows "Intel" for the CPU and "AMD" for the GPU, as you can see I have the Opposites, lol. :-)

Same for me, AMD cpu and Nvidia card. I am confident that it will improve alot during development. :)

I also saw on the general discussion forum, someone who has a high end 7series Nvidia card in QuadSli. He can run the game at it's max, so with high end, i mean this guy :D

@Verci - Cool AMD n Nvidia buddies, lol.
Quad SLI on 770GTX, 780GTX, 780TI and the TITAN's can play anything, I spent £389 on my 770GTX when it was released in June2013, I would love Quad SLI 770GTX's but 1 I don't earn enough and 2 my towers only a mid tower so wouldn't fit, lol :-D.
I can run Max on all my other DirectX11 games and I to am confident that they'll Optimise and Improve alot in future Updates and Development :-D.

Also if anyone wants to add me to Steam, my Steam Profile is linked to my YouTube channel "wasptube1"
If you go to my channel page then either click the Steam logo on my channel art or go to my channel about section :-).

    Haswell 4770K
    ASUS Z87 Expert board
GTX 760 4GB video (single, haven't gone SLI yet)
    16GB system RAM
    Win 8 64bit
sitting 4 feet away from a 55" TV

And I cannot run it smoothly above Medium.

Still, it looks great on Medium to me. My board can apparently hold 3 video cards, so I'm thinking I can pick up a couple more 760s and run them in triple-SLI. Once the game goes final, I should be unable to tell game from reality (cuz, y'know, I actually have a 12 ton bulldozer that goes 0-60 in 5sec, with GOTCHA! spray-painted on the shovel  )

Will upgrade to 970 sli and let you know how it runs.
And to people with less than 7970/770 cards... you def needs to buy better stuff.

I have problems with my fps also. I only get 30 fps if I reduce the settings.Either i go to quality or I move them to best performance, I can only get between 25-30 fps.
Now, I don't have one of those rocket laptop, but still I don't think is my fault because on other games (borderlands the pre sequel, titanfall, diablo, tomb raider etc, I get between 60-90 fps with the optimization from GeForce Experience. But with carmageddon, doesn't seems to squeeze more the 30 fps, like i'm playing other games on battery power.

Wait, if 64-bit Windows is required, why are you building a 32-bit exe and allowing me to install the game on 32-bit Windows? You should clearly be building a 64-bit version only, and block install on 32-bit.

As for running the Game on HIGHEST you say that this configuration will do it...

    OS: Win 7 64-bit
    Processor: Intel i5-3570 3.4GHz; AMD FX-8350
    Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: 2Gb DirectX 11 (AMD HD 7800 series GPU or equivalent)
    DirectX: Version 11
Hard Drive: 20 GB available space

Here is my RIG and NO I do not reach even 12fps on HIGHEST
    OS: Win 7 64-bit
    Processor: Intel i5-3570 quad 3.4GHz
    Memory: 8 GB RAM
    Graphics: 1.5Gb DirectX 11 (Nvidia GTX460)
    DirectX: Version 11
Hard Drive: 20 GB available space
    Sound Card: DirectX compatible

To be playable, really without any stutters or lags I run it in Faster Performance mode.. SO Please do something about this, I restarted playing TDR2000 for the pure performance of it...

Please... yes the game engine needs to be better but dont expect legacy gpu:s to run in with good settings.

Since the improvements I can run on Highest with fps rates between 30-60 with no major problems. If you want to see my specs scroll up to March 29th 2014 :-). Also I can run all other games on Ultra with 60fps, even FarCry4, :-). Happy roadkilling gamers :-)
