PCs with Graphics Chip on the Motherboard and a Separate nVidia Graphics Card

In some cases, when running Carmageddon: Reincarnation, the PC may use the on-board Intel Graphics chip on the motherboard instead of a dedicated nVidia graphics card, if available. Usually if your PC has a graphics card, it will be more powerful than the graphics chip on your motherboard. If you experience low frame rate or poor graphics performance in Carmageddon: Reincarnation, it is possibly because your PC is using the graphics chip on your motherboard in preference to your nVidia graphics card (if both exist). To check and change these settings, follow these steps:

  1. Right click on the desktop and select “NVIDIA Control Panel”
  2. Click “Manage 3D Settings”
  3. Click “Program Settings” [2.png]
  4. Click on Add and select the Carmageddon: Reincarnation executable from the list
  5. Check the setting for the Preferred graphics processor
  6. If it is not set to “High-performance NVIDIA processor”, then change it to this value
  7. Click Apply

I've taken this action, but the nvidia chip still isn't being used.

Windows Visa, NVIDIA Control Panel v 7.6.740.0, there is no option for "preferred graphics processor".
